about

Passionate about the art of computer science

In 2010 I joined Boeing's Engineering Operations and Technology organization as a Systems Data Analyst where I helped build, maintain and support large scale applications within the enterprise. In 2014 I transitioned to the Boeing Defense and Space organization as a Software Engineer where I developed various proprietary software solutions for real-time processing, analysis, network integration, and communication architectures. In 2017 I joined the Boeing Research and Technology organization where I continue to develop flight software for the Boeing Avionics team. I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering / Computer Science from the California State University of Long Beach. I am an advocate for continued education and constantly strive to expand my scope of knowledge beyond that of my current domain.

Experience

Boeing, Software Engineer

August 2017 - Present

As a software engineer, I am currently developing software within the aerospace avionics domain. Our team utilizes a variety of tech stacks and PaaS and IaaS solutions such as Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure, and RedHat's Openshift, including container orchestrators like Kubernetes, Docker, and other open-source virtualization services. I am involved in designing and implementing cloud-ready/cloud-native RESTFul applications and services using Java, JavaScript, Spring, Angular, C/C++, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, RabbitMQ, SQL, S3 blob/object storage, GraphDB, Python, and more. Also, with the help of the Atlassian collaboration products (Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo, Confluence) and our DevOps strategies, we can build, test, and deploy software in a streamlined continuous-integration/continuous-deployment pipeline.

Boeing, Software Engineer

January 2014 - August 2017

Employed under Advanced Technology Programs, a C4ISR function of Boeing’s Defense organization specializing in proprietary network integration and communications architectures. Helped develop several modified version of a MVC-like framework for command and control applications. Responsible for various systems builds and configurations including intricate system hardening. Implemented a Windows imaging solution to deploy common images to various systems tailored to individual projects. Maintain role as the software configuration management focal across several projects.

Boeing, Systems and Data Analyst

July 2010 - January 2014

Application support/administrator for several COTS products hosted in a Windows Server VM infrastructure. Maintained access control policies, knowledge documents, security compliance assessments, service and recovery levels, performance and scalability, application and system access, technical monitoring plans, operation and user guides. Responsible for software upgrades including testing, tech insertion, release plans and end user coordination for enterprise-wide deployments. Implemented various script tasking solutions on Windows servers and clients for redundant and tedious tasks. Contributed as a license administrator responsible for generating, managing, and configuring license environments on various virtual server platforms, as well as managing program's entitlements.
