About Me
Passionate About the Art of Computer Science
In 2010, I began my career with Boeing by joining the Engineering Operations and Technology organization as a Systems Data Analyst. In this role, I was responsible for helping to build, maintain, and support a variety of large-scale applications that contributed significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the enterprise. In 2014, I made a pivotal transition to the Boeing Defense and Space organization, where I took on the position of Software Engineer. During this time, I developed proprietary software solutions designed for real-time processing, comprehensive analysis, network integration, and various communication architectures. In 2017, I took another step forward by joining the Boeing Research and Technology organization, where I continue to focus on the development of critical flight software for the Boeing Avionics team. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering / Computer Science from the California State University of Long Beach. I am a strong advocate for continued education and professional development, and I constantly strive to expand my scope of knowledge beyond that of my current domain to contribute more effectively to my field.
Experience
Boeing, Software Engineer
August 2017 - Present
As a software engineer, I am currently developing software within the aerospace avionics domain. Our team utilizes a variety of tech stacks and PaaS and IaaS solutions such as Cloud Foundry, Microsoft Azure, and RedHat's Openshift, including container orchestrators like Kubernetes, Docker, and other open-source virtualization services. I am involved in designing and implementing cloud-ready/cloud-native RESTFul applications and services using Java, JavaScript, Spring, Angular, C/C++, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, RabbitMQ, SQL, S3 blob/object storage, GraphDB, Python, and more. Also, with the help of the Atlassian collaboration products (Bitbucket, Jira, Bamboo, Confluence) and our DevOps strategies, we can build, test, and deploy software in a streamlined continuous-integration/continuous-deployment pipeline.
